Simbang Gabi 2007

Simbang Gabi is a dawn Mass. It is a Filipino tradition. Roman Catholic people wake up early in the morning around 4:00 am or earlier just to attend the mass. Our church adopted this tradition however instead of waking early we made it literally Simbang Gabi. Simbang Gabi is consist of two words. Simba which means time for worship or going to church and the word Gabi which means night. So it was called Simbang Gabi which means Night worship.Every 24th day of December our Church conducted a Night worship before the Christmas Eve. It became a Church tradition until now we still do it.

On this specific year, we prepared a dance offering for the Lord. Shella, Abegail and I prepared a tambourine dance. A worship dance for the Lord. In the tune of “God is Great”. As the song says God is great and he is truly great. HE created everything. He created you and me. And we have this Simbang Gabi to celebrate all the good things that He has done. HE send His only son Jesus Christ to rescue us from all our sins. Ptr. Jay Banzuelo is the one who shared the word of God for this night. It was a great message of love and hope.

Thank you so much Oh God for Your greatness in our lives. We praise You for who You are and for all the things that You have done. All Your creations declares Your glory. You are truly are the King of kings and Lord of lords!
