Morning Devotion

1 A psalm of David.
The LORD is my shepherd,
I lack nothing.
2 He takes me to lush pastures,
he leads me to refreshing water.
3 He restores my strength.
He leads me down the right paths
for the sake of his reputation.
4 Even when I must walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no danger,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff reassure me.
5 You prepare a feast before me
in plain sight of my enemies.
You refresh my head with oil;
my cup is completely full.
6 Surely your goodness and faithfulness will pursue me all my days,
and I will live in the LORD’s house for the rest of my life.

I've know this verse for a every long time. Since the first day that I attended Sunday School. However I often neglected this particular chapter of the book of Psalm.
This Chapter spoke to me deep into the inner most of my soul. When the verse one say "The lord is my shepherd, I will lack nothing" It was enough for me. It give me the assurance that God will provide all my needs. It doesn’t necessarily means that it includes my wants. He alone is enough. If I have God. I have everything.
Verses three and four are my favorite verses from this Chapter. Verse three says "He restores my strength. He leads me down the right paths for the sake of His reputation". I am not the strongest person. In fact I am weak. He alone can give me strength for He alone is my strength. It's not easy to live in this world. It's not easy to say NO. especially when it's fine with everyone. But it is the Lord that gives me courage to walk in the path. To live a blamelessly life. I may not be perfect but it the Lord that will continue to mold me to be more like Christ. Verse four added "Even when I must walk through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for you are with me; your rod and your staff reassure me". I may have a lot of fears but I can face all of them for God is with me. I always have worries and anxiety. I always have fear of the future. I'm not the toughest man. I may be a good pretender for most people found me to be strong, but I am not. I may have a strong personality but I also have a weak heart.
Thank you Lord for I can hold on to your promises. Promises that I am one hundred percent sure that they will come true. For you are a Faithful God. From generation to generations to did not and will never ever change. Thank you because whenever I'm week I can find rest in the shadows of your wings. You are my strong hold and my mighty fortress. Because of your goodness and love you deserve more than what I can do. Thank you for being so good to me Lord. Even though I don't deserved it. Still you love me.
